AxioVision 4 Module Physiology AxioVision module for measurement of fast ion fluctuation (such as intracellular calcium) or for doing FRET measurements
- Together with the module Fast Acquisition Physiologiy allows acquisition of time lapse series in combination with measurements of changes in intracellular ion concentrations such as Calcium
- Support for excitation ratiometric imaging such as using the Calcium sensitive dye Fura-2
- Supports use of single wavelength ion indicators such as Fluo-4 or Calcium green
- In conjunction with using two cameras and the module dual camera Emission ratioing as well as FRET imaging supported
- Allows on line ratiometric imaging with online analysis
- Drawing of up to 100 regions of interest ("ROI") for online analysis
- One ROI can be selected as background region
- Up to three graphs for online display of ROI data (mean gray values and ratio values, optionally background-corrected)
- Online change of acquisition speed using user-definable speed markers
- Annotation of experimental conditions using user-definable event marker
- Assignement of free keyboard shortcuts to speed- and event marker
- Event markers can be coupled with hardware settings for changing suitable microscope components during acquisition
- Markers can be coupled with free trigger signals (2 generic trigger in and 2 trigger out)
- Flexible display options for acquired images and generated online graphs
- Support for the following fast cameras: AxioCam HSm, MRm Rev.3, HRm Rev.3, certain third party EM-CCD cameras (please see AxioVision documentation for list of supported camera models)
- Choice of fast changeable illumination devices (Sutter DG-4, Colibri) supported
- Support for internal motorized microscope components (shutter, reflector revolver)
- Data acquisition as streaming file directly to harddisk, therefore maximum acquisition time limited only by hard disk size
- Conversion of streaming data into regular ZVI time lapse sequences using a comfortable and flexible editing function ("cutter")
- Analysis of image series after acquisition using either predefined formulas or a customizeable formula editor
